Where our flowers come from
We buy through a trusted network of growers, wholesalers and specialist suppliers, with flowers coming from the UK, the Netherlands and other established growing regions depending on the season and design. We choose for freshness, quality, provenance and suitability.

How much do wedding flowers cost?
There is no single fixed figure because the final cost depends on the pieces you need, flower choice, scale, mechanics, delivery and installation. As a planning guide, bridal bouquets are often around £150-£300+, bridesmaid bouquets £65-£125+, buttonholes £15-£30+, table flowers £65-£350+, pedestals and ceremony flowers £350-£750+, and arches or larger installations £2,500-£5,000+.

Do you offer wedding flower packages?
Yes. Our Pre-designed Wedding Flowers are the closest option to a wedding flower package. You choose one of three colour palettes and then build the combination you need from fixed-price bridal flowers, bridesmaid flowers, buttonholes, jam jars and vases.
If you want a custom colour palette or a design created around your venue, choose one of our bespoke services instead.
What is included in a bespoke wedding flower quotation?
Your quotation sets out the agreed flowers, materials and labour, including VAT. Where relevant it will also show delivery, set-up, installation, dismantling or collection charges so you can see what is included before booking.
Do you have a minimum spend for wedding flowers?
We do not have a single minimum spend across all wedding services. Pre-designed Wedding Flowers can be ordered online without a consultation. Bespoke Simplicity is typically for floral budgets under £1,500 and carries a £50 consultation and design fee. Bespoke Luxury is typically for budgets of £1,500 or more.
Some bespoke designs can also be affected by supplier minimum order quantities.
When does the £50 consultation and design fee apply?
The £50 fee applies to Bespoke Simplicity, our tailored service for floral budgets below £1,500. It covers the initial consultation, bespoke design work and detailed quotation, with one round of amendments included.
There is no bespoke design fee for Pre-designed Wedding Flowers. For Bespoke Luxury budgets of £1,500+, consultation and design are included within the service.
Booking & planning
Booking your wedding florist
How far in advance should I book a wedding florist?
For bespoke wedding flowers, contact us once your venue and date are confirmed. Popular dates can book well ahead, especially where the wedding involves larger installations or an involved venue set-up.
Pre-designed Wedding Flowers are ordered online with a minimum of 72 hours' notice, subject to availability.
How does the bespoke wedding flower process work?
1. Initial consultation
We start with your date, venue, priorities and approximate flower budget.
2. Design & quotation
We create a tailored floral direction and detailed quotation.
3. Refinement
Bespoke Simplicity includes one round of amendments. Bespoke Luxury allows a fuller refinement process.
4. Secure the date
Your signed contract and £250 booking deposit secure the wedding in our diary.
5. Final planning & delivery
The remaining balance is due six weeks before the wedding, then we prepare, deliver and set up the agreed flowers.
How much is the wedding booking deposit?
A signed contract and £250 booking deposit secure a bespoke wedding in our diary. The deposit forms part of the total cost. Our Wedding Flower Terms & Conditions explain how it is treated if plans later change or the wedding is cancelled.
When is the final wedding flower balance due?
The remaining balance, after the £250 booking deposit, is due six weeks before the wedding.
Can I have a wedding flower mock-up before the day?
We can arrange mock-ups for bespoke weddings where suitable flowers are available. Mock-ups are charged at full price and may be subject to supplier minimum order quantities.

Practical wedding flower questions
Can I choose the exact flower varieties for my wedding?
For bespoke weddings we can discuss particular flowers that matter to you, but availability can change and exact varieties cannot always be guaranteed. We design to achieve the agreed overall look, palette and quality.
For Pre-designed Wedding Flowers, specific flower varieties are not chosen by the customer; our florists select flowers that fit the chosen palette and guide photographs.
Do you deliver and set up wedding flowers at the venue?
Yes. For bespoke weddings, delivery, venue set-up, installations and collection can be coordinated where required and will be detailed in your quotation. Pre-designed Wedding Flowers can be collected free from our Wimbledon Village shop or delivered locally where an available wedding delivery option is offered at checkout.
Can you work at a wedding venue you have not flowered before?
Yes. We work at new venues as well as venues we already know. For bespoke weddings we plan around the space, access, timings and installation requirements. You can also see some of the wedding venues we have flowered.
Where do you provide wedding flowers?
Gardenia is based in Wimbledon Village and provides wedding flowers across south-west London, central London and Surrey, including Richmond, Kew and surrounding areas. We can also consider selected venues further afield where the project and logistics are suitable.
Can ceremony flowers be moved to the reception?
Often, yes. Where the design, mechanics, timing and venue access make it practical, we can plan selected ceremony flowers so they can be moved and enjoyed again later in the day.
What makes Gardenia's wedding flowers a more sustainable choice?
We consider sourcing, mechanics, waste and packaging separately rather than making a blanket claim that every wedding arrangement is plastic-free.
Our customer-facing flower wrapping and packaging is 100% home compostable and plastic-free. Wedding and event work can require structural or water-holding mechanics, particularly for installations, arches, pedestals and larger venue flowers. We choose those mechanics to be as sustainable as the design allows, avoiding unnecessary material and favouring lower-impact or reusable solutions where they will perform properly.
We source through a carefully selected network of growers, wholesalers and specialist suppliers, and our floral green waste is processed through COM:POST. Where practical, we can also design selected ceremony flowers so they can be reused later in the day.
