Experienced Florist (4-day week)
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Fixed-term, full-time (12 months), with the possibility of extension
Hours: 42 hours per week, worked over 4 days between 8:00am and 6:30pm (our opening hours), including weekend days as part of a rotating team rota, together with seasonal peaks.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced, reliable florist who enjoys the variety that comes with working in a busy independent florist. One day you might be creating hand-tied bouquets for the shop, the next preparing wedding flowers or installing displays for one of our corporate clients.
You'll take pride in your work, enjoy working as part of a close-knit team, and remain calm and organised during busy periods.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role in a fast-paced creative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Opening and closing the shop
Creating beautiful hand-tied bouquets and bespoke arrangements
Conditioning flowers and maintaining excellent stock quality
Merchandising the shop with fresh seasonal displays
Serving customers and delivering exceptional customer service
Processing telephone, email and online orders
Assisting with weddings, events and corporate installations
Helping prepare and load deliveries
Coordinating with our delivery driver
Maintaining high standards of presentation and housekeeping throughout the shop

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
At least 2 years' experience working in a professional florist
Preferred: A recognised floristry qualification
Excellent spoken and written English
Confidence using EPOS and online ordering systems
Excellent customer service skills
Good organisation and time management
A positive, practical attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
This role would suit someone who loves the pace and variety of a busy florist and enjoys creating beautiful work every day.

Retail Florist (part-time)
Salary: £13,880 - £14,785 (based on 2 days per week)

We’re looking for an experienced, reliable retail florist who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a busy shop environment, and genuinely cares about delivering great flowers and service. You’ll be confident working independently as well as collaboratively, with a practical, can-do approach and a calm manner during busy periods.
The Role
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, creative environment. Daily responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Opening the shop and setting up beautiful, seasonal displays
- Conditioning flowers and maintaining excellent stock quality
- Serving customers, taking orders, and creating bespoke bouquets
- Making and preparing daily orders and shop-ready bouquets
- Answering the phone and responding to email enquiries
- Assisting with weddings, events, and contract work
- Keeping the shop clean, organised, and visually inspiring
- Managing and coordinating our delivery driver

Apprentice Florist
Location: Wimbledon, London
Salary: £8.50 per hour during the first year of the apprenticeship. Future pay will be reviewed in line with apprenticeship and minimum wage regulations.
Hours: 42 hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis
Start Date: Summer 2026

No previous floristry experience is required. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, creativity, a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn.

Apprenticeship Training
You will complete the LANTRA Level 2 Florist Apprenticeship through The Floristry School.
Most of the apprenticeship is completed through a combination of hands-on learning at Gardenia and weekly online sessions.
Occasional in-person training or assessment days may be required throughout the programme.
