Impact

Packaging:

Our commitment to sustainability means that 100% of our packaging is home compostable, ensuring minimal environmental impact.

Waste:

We’ve achieved zero landfill waste, and all of our green waste is processed in a closed-loop system to produce compost for horticulture and agriculture.

Energy:

Our electricity is sourced exclusively from UK wind farms, aligning with our renewable energy values.

People:

We believe in fair work and proper compensation. As a London Living Wage employer, we offer our dedicated team permanent contracts, paid annual leave, and a contributory pension.

Supply Partners:

All our flowers come directly from Hoek Flowers in Holland. Hoek is a member of the FSI initiative and operates a state-of-the-art, 60,000-square-metre facility that is entirely gas-free. Currently, 75% of their energy is generated from on-site solar panels, and their 4,000-square-metre green roof supports biodiversity research conducted by the University of Leiden. The findings aim to identify which plantings attract the most wildlife and which types of green roofs provide the greatest environmental benefit.

Flower care

When your flowers arrive, begin by cutting approximately 1cm from the base of each stem. This step is crucial as it helps the flowers take up water more efficiently, keeping them hydrated and prolonging their freshness. After trimming the stems, place them in a clean vase filled with fresh, cool water. Make sure the vase has been thoroughly washed, as any leftover bacteria or residue can shorten the lifespan of your blooms.

To maintain their beauty, repeat this process every two days. Remove the flowers from the vase, trim another 1cm from the stems, and replace the water with fresh, clean water. This regular care routine ensures that the flowers continue to absorb the nutrients and hydration they need.

By following these steps, you can enjoy your flowers at their best for at least five days—guaranteed.

What if no one is home to accept the delivery?

It is our standard policy to leave the flowers in a safe place or with a neighbour. If this happens we will leave a calling card so that the recipient knows where to find the flowers and you will receive these details electronically with a proof of delivery image.

If you have specific delivery instructions for us to follow, please add these on the basket page in the 'Gift message' box.

If there isn't a safe place for us to leave the flowers (eg. the address is on a main high street with no front garden or porch), the flowers will be returned to our shop for collection (free) or re-delivery (delivery fees apply).

By completing your order,  you accept that our responsibility for the flowers ends once they have been successfully delivered as per the details above.
